GARRETT NEFF

Commissioned by Schön to style top model Garrett Neff in collaboration with photographer Cyrill Matter, RJ took inspiration from the abandoned runways of Floyd Bennett Field, New York’s first municipal airport, to portray a vision of masculine austerity against a horizon of wind-swept concrete and steel-gray sky.

“I really wanted to play off this incredible location—once a symbol of departure, now a relic of stillness,” RJ says. To that end, he chose styling that emphasized somber neutrals and tactile fabrics: tough wools, brushed cottons, structured knits, and clean architectural lines from Calvin Klein and Alexander Wang.

Each look distilled modern menswear to its essentials: structure, proportion, and quiet power. “That balance between boldness and simplicity—creating impact through the smallest gestures—is at the heart of how I approach all my work.”
